Committed to Special Needs

My name is Barb, I'm a sweet loveable girl who's looking for my forever home. I love to play and run around to let my puppy energy out, but love to snuggle and be by your side every chance I get. I like dogs, as my foster siblings help bring me out of my shell. I have never met a cat, but my foster mom thinks I would be okay. I am not a fan of kids, my foster mom thinks they look big and scary to me, but I've warmed up eventually to some. I walk well on a leash, I am kennel trained, and I am almost 100% potty trained. I'm hesitant to trust people at first, but I've learned to come out of my shell and love all the attention once I know it's safe.

I've got an interesting story about my life so far, it's why I've been in my foster home for so long. I had very hollow bones when I was younger and broke three of my legs doing typical dog activities. After some time, my bones are healing, and even though I am cast-less, my bones are still more fragile than others. Sadly, one of my legs is not healing well like the rest. I am still a young pup that still needs to grow, so the doctors hope that it will be a nonpainful deformity, but cannot guarantee that it won't require extensive medical attention in the future. I am currently on joint supplements, good quality dog food, and I am carefully monitored by my foster mom 24/7. I know it sounds scary, but I hope to find the right forever home that will accept me for these particular needs and make me the center of attention.

Preferred : Another Dog in the Home
