Requirements: Children 10+| Single Family Home (No Apartments, Townhomes, or Condos)

Hi there, my name is Bella Jane. I cannot wait to meet my forever family! My foster mom tells me I am the sweetest girl who LOVES to cuddle with my humans and foster dog sisters and give them lots of kisses. I am an extremely affectionate dog and will need a family that can provide that for me. I am told I have the cutest wiggle butt and a tail that is always wagging. Due to this, I will need a home with children 10+ (not a huge fan of fast movements and loud noises). I have met a few cats and we get along really well.
My foster mom tells me I am so fast and extremely athletic! I can outrun my 2 foster dog sisters all day. I would do best in a home with a more calm/ mellow dog who respects my boundaries. I really enjoy playing catch with tennis balls, Kong toys and the frisbee. As much as I love running and playing outside, I settle down very nicely when I come inside and curl up on the couch with the fam. I walk nicely on the leash. If my forever family does not have a fenced-in yard, I will need daily walks as I would consider myself a medium energy gal. I do like to let my foster mom know anytime there is something outside, due to this I wouldn’t do great in an apartment or condo.
As a herding breed, I can get mouthy when I am playing and get excited, but I respond very well to calm correction. I also have a high prey drive when I see rabbits, chipmunks and especially squirrels. Also true to the herding breed, I am extremely loyal to my humans and enjoy following my foster mom around. I am doing super well on my training (I am very food motivated and love treats) and mastered “sit” in just 2 days. Potty training? No big deal for me. I have been on a regular schedule since arriving in my foster home and have not had any accidents. My foster mom says I am very smart and will do very well with training in my new home. As long as my crate is in my foster mom’s bedroom, I sleep in there just fine at night and when she leaves during the day to run errands.
I am a very sensitive pup that responds to positive reinforcements. I used to get nervous when meeting new people, but as I have become acclimated in my foster home, I approach guests with my tail wagging. I will need a calm, patient family that will help me become a confident dog. I will need a home who is looking for a cuddly, affectionate, and loyal dog (as I always want to be curled up next to my human getting all the pets and giving kisses). This will be paramount for me to have the best life, a true human companion. I can’t wait to meet my forever family! If I sound like a good fit for you, apply to meet me today!
