Buckey is a sweet and active guy who is looking for a home that will love a 70lb lap dog.

Buckey enjoys toys, exploring the yard as well as enthusiastic greetings of all visitors. Buckey like most active breeds needs physical and mental stimulation daily. He learns most feeding toys quickly and loves his large tennis ball.

Buckey has some anxiety with initially meeting new dogs but with slow introductions currently lives with 3 other dogs. Buckey does best with other playful and tolerant dogs. He does well with taking cues from other dogs once he establishes a relationship with them. Buckey also would be fine as an only dog.

Buckey does well with learning routines of the home and thrives on those routines. He is housebroken and knows several of his basic commands. He is improving daily with his leash skills. Buckey is not a fan of a crate but can be loose in the home. Currently he has been staying in his own room without incident.

Buckey is a vocal dog who lets you know his wants and needs through barking. He does not excessively bark at things outside but is talkative. Buckey is a bouncy dog so older children are best, so they do not accidently get knocked over. Buckey also tends to chase cats and has a higher prey drive like many dogs.
