Claire the sweet Chihuahua mix is looking for her forever home. Could that be you?

Before Claire came to Woof Gang, she was a stray down south, she came to us scared and pregnant. She successfully had her babies, and they were all adopted and now it's this mama's turn to know what the spoiled life is about.

With Claire coming in as a stray she is skittish around people. She has started opening up with the help of her foster family. But will need a family who is patient and will give her time to come out of her shell.

She currently lives with a family that has kids and she loves them, but they are older kids, so they know to give her space. Smaller children make Claire nervous because of their unpredictability. Claire does have 3 foster canine brothers who are all bigger than her. (By a lot) and she likes to be around them all and tries to play with the big boys every day. They are helping her learn that people are nice.

Claire is not a fan of the leash so she will need continued work with that which is why her foster family is requiring a fenced in yard for her. She shuts down when she's on a leash. Her foster family is working with her on this, but it is still a work in progress.

Claire does not mind being in her kennel. She sleeps quietly through the night in her kennel on her bed.

The perfect family for Claire would be one who is willing to give her time to come out of her shell and love her like she has always deserved.
