Please meet Riley Joe! He is an adorable little guy looking for his forever family. Initially, he is a little shy, and can take a bit to warm up. Sometimes Riley can appear distant, but he’s still getting used to interacting due to being alone before being rescued. Once he warms up, his true spunky personality starts to show. He is working on building his confidence
every day. We take him out to explore the yard several times a day and he loves playing outside.

Riley is still a puppy and is working on all his basic training. He is doing well with walking on the leash, especially when it involves walking around the yard. He is still potty training and working on giving cues that he needs to go out. He does wake up in the night to go potty and whines or paws at the kennel to let you know. Riley does just fine in the kennel for downtime and sleeping at night. That is his safe space.

Riley loves any new toys we introduce him to, especially anything he can chew on. He is very food motivated and so far has learned to sit for his treats. He is very interested in his foster sister and would do well with another dog that matches his playful energy. Riley hasn’t met any children or cats yet but we think he would do great with both! He really needs a family that will continue to work on his training and encourage his true personality to come through.
