My name is Anthony Rizzo, and I’m not just named after a baseball legend, I am the legend. At one year old and 50 pounds of pure pit bull charm, I’ve got the heart of a teddy bear and the voice of a dying walrus (don’t worry, that’s just my dramatic “why am I in the crate when you’re HOME?” song).

I am fully potty trained and even ring a bell to let you know I need to go outside, because I’m classy like that. I walk nicely on a leash, work for treats like it’s my job, and basically just want to make my humans proud.

I’m a total social butterfly with other dogs; I love them all! In fact, I currently live with a bossy female pitty who regularly puts me in my place and I just roll with it, tail wagging.

While my chew toy loyalty is strong, occasionally a slipper gets left next to my pile and falls into the “toy” category. I must be helping my foster mom, because she says maybe now people will finally learn to put their shoes away.

Every so often, I might bark like I’m auditioning for “Guard Dog: The Movie” when meeting new people, but give me sixty seconds and I’ll be in your lap giving you kisses like we’re old friends. My motto? “Strangers are just besties I haven’t slobbered on yet.”
