Preferred : Another Dog in the Home

Irving Du Bois is from the Phineas and Ferb group of beagles. He is a one year-old beagle who is just beginning to discover what life is like living in a home. After a rough start, he’s learning that the world can be a safe and happy place, but he still needs a patient person who is willing to guide him along the way.

Irving is not yet potty trained as this will be a work in progress, but he is doing better every day. He can become vocal when left in his kennel. He really only needs to be in there when he can’t be supervised. He sleeps well outside of his kennel, or will also rest in his kennel if the door is left open.

Like many dogs who are still adjusting to home life, he will need consistency, structure, and understanding as he learns new routine routines and builds confidence.

Irving loves other dogs and loves the play with them. He can be protective of his toys or any food near him however, with gentle redirection he is beginning to learn proper etiquette. This could be more challenging with small children if both are not supervised together.

Irving has adjusted very well to home living and continues to make improvements every day. He is looking for an adopter who understands that progress takes time. With patience, encouragement, and commitment to training, Irving is going to be a wonderful companion as he has already shown in his foster home.

Irving has a very sweet and curious personality. He loves affection and praise. He has learned to sit and he has become very interested in treats which will be a major plus for continued training.

If you have the understanding and patience to help Irving become the dog he was meant to be, please fill out an application.

***This dog will come with a FREE Fi Mini Tracker. This includes 6 months of service for FREE, and we will require that you activate your account immediately. It could take more than 6 months for these dogs to settle completely in their forever homes so we do recommend continuing service once the free trial is complete.***
