Hey everybody, I’m Luke Duke. I'm looking for a very special family who will understand that I will need a few days to show my silly, goofy self to them. I'm a friendly pup, but only after I get to know who you are and that I'm safe. This might take me a few days in my new home. I'm so worth it though, I promise!

I’m getting used to my kennel, but I do need encouragement and treats to go in. When I’m in my kennel I sometimes bark or cry before I settle down. Because of this I shouldn’t live in an apartment where I could bother your neighbors. My foster mom does say that I would be a good candidate to not need a kennel once I feel comfortable in my new home.

I’m not into car rides, they make me feel nauseous. I love to stick around the house, especially if it's fenced in so I can explore. Walking around the neighborhood is nice but I can still get a little scared with the new sights and sounds that come along with them.

Walking is going to be important for me though as I have hip dysplasia. No need for surgery at this time. I take a daily supplement and walking helps me keep up my muscles. My care team also said that I may even be a good candidate for aqua therapy some day!

I would love another dog to live with, but due to my hips I would need them to not play rough. I gain confidence when I have another buddy to learn from and watch. I haven’t met a cat or kids yet so I’m not sure how I would react to them but overall, I am a pretty chill guy once I become comfortable!

Some of my other favorite things are taking all the toys out of the toy box, napping on the couch, following my foster brother around, taking treats like a gentleman and sniffing all the wonderful smells in the yard!
