Hi there! I'm Mochi, and yes, I really am as adorable as I look. I'm a beautiful Shiba Inu who recently came to Woof Gang Rescue after my family made the difficult decision to surrender me. I've been spending some time in my foster home settling in and adjusting to all the new sights, sounds, and routines.

Like a true Shiba Inu, I'm an independent girl who enjoys doing my own thing. While I'm not the type to constantly demand attention, I absolutely enjoy affection on my terms and will happily come over for pets when I'm in the mood. Otherwise, I'm happiest doing my own thing. Shiba Inus are a unique breed known for their independence, intelligence, and cat-like personalities. If you've never had a Shiba before, I'd encourage you to learn a little about the breed, you'll quickly discover that my independent nature is exactly what makes Shiba’s so special.

My foster family believes I'm already house-trained because I haven't had a single accident since arriving. I'm also a pretty quiet pup; the only time I've barked was when I spotted a bird that caught my attention! When my foster parents go to work, or it’s bedtime, I sleep in my crate. The crate is actually my safe space, and I like to spend time in it by myself.

One of my favorite activities is going for walks. I walk nicely on a leash overall and enjoy getting outside to explore. I'm currently living with two other dogs and have done well with them. I'm more of a laid-back companion than a playmate and am perfectly content to coexist peacefully. I'm still learning how to interact with playful dogs and can get a little nervous when one wants to wrestle or play. I'd much rather quietly coexist than join in the fun. I've also met children and did well with them. I haven't had the opportunity to meet any cats yet, so we're not sure how I'd do with feline friends.

One of the perks of adopting me is that I'll come with everything I need to help make my transition into my forever home as smooth as possible! I'll bring along my crate, leash, food, collar, harness, toys, treats, and dog bed.

If you appreciate a dog with an independent spirit and understand that the best relationships are built on trust, patience, and mutual respect, I might just be your perfect match.
