My name is Ruff and I am a shy boy with a calm temperament and a sweet soul! I haven't met another dog that I don't like, but I can take a while to warm up to new people. I didn't have a great start in life, so I might need a little extra patience to trust new people. I am potty trained, I walk great on a leash, and I am crate trained! In fact, I like spending time in my crate when I get a little overwhelmed because it is my safe space. I am a naturally very well-behaved gentleman. I am very food motivated and learn quickly.

I am looking for a dog to be my new best friend. Because I'm a timid guy, I look to other dogs to follow around and learn confidence from. I have won over all three of my doggy foster siblings immediately! Whether we are playing outside or just hanging around the house, I love spending time together all day.

I am very gentle with my one year old human foster brother. If he ever gets a little too energetic for me, I just walk away. I don't really understand the kitties in my foster home yet. I am patient when they come up to me, but I mostly just stay away from them.

With a little patience, lots of love, and a few treats, I have blossomed in my foster home! I have learned to love the attention and pets I get from my humans and I make sure to pay them back with lots of kisses and nose boops.
